Employed Worker Training: A skilled workforce is the best way to keep your company on top. Let the Suncoast Workforce Board assist you with its Employed Worker Training program. These short-term trainings (90 days or less) can be fully customized to meet the needs of your workforce, and the Suncoast Workforce can pay 50% of the training cost. For more information about Employed Worker Training in Sarasota and Manatee counties, call Anthony Gagliano at (941) 358-4200 x3112 or Jennifer Seavey at (941) 358-4200 x1118.

On-the-Job Training: This program provides an incentive for employers to hire inexperienced and under skilled employees for new positions. Florida Back To Work: This program provides employers the opportunity to hire and staff with Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) eligible job seekers (low-income families on a time-limited basis) with job specific qualifications and receive reimbursement up to 95% to cover nearly all the costs of the salary for new employees. The Agency for Workforce Innovation has received an incredible response of $231 million in proposals for the $200 million funding available for its initial deadline of January 15, 2010. For more information, call Nancy Kouayara at (941) 358-4200 x3131.
